Young Entrepreneurs is where ambitious teens gain foundational entrepreneurship skills (the kind of stuff you won’t learn in school). Join us for five days of instruction uncovering the daring venture of turning a 'great idea' into a 'great business.'

  • Session One: June 22-26th, 10:00 am - 2:00 pm
  • Session Two: August 3-7th, 10:00 am - 2:00 pm

What's the Young Entrepreneurs Experience?

In five action-packed days, you'll be inspired by entrepreneurs who will join as guest speakers.

Engaging with experienced entreprneurs - you'll be able to ask questions and get advice for how to start a business of your own. Field trips to local businesses will put you right in the action - experiencing what a day in the life of entrepreneurship is really like.

Through guided instruction and engaging activities, you'll develop the skills needed to build your own business - from witing a business plan, to learning how to market, and knowing how to secure the funding you need.

Your Questions: Answered

What is included in registration cost?

The $97 registration fee covers material, a certificate, the cost of field trips, and unlimited snacks! (PLUS... teens will have the opportunity to connect with an entrepreneurship mentor that they can continue meeting with after the program ends.)

Where is the program?

The program is located within the 1889 Courthouse (the big, old building in West Bend with the red roof.) You'll be working in a coworking hub, surrounded by real-life entrepreneurs.

What if I can't make it everyday?

We understand that you have other commitments that may require you to not be available to attend the whole program. If you can not attend at least 50%, we ask that you choose a different session or pass on the opportunity. Otherwise, please communicate times that you will not be present beforehand.

Where are the field trips to?

Field trips are to local businesses within walking distance of West Bend's Downtown. Teens get to talk with entrepreneurs and see the daily operations of running a business. Past destinations have included Mountain Outfitters, The Beat Goes on Records & More, Grun Hexe Kitchen & Catering, and Laughing Mountain Popcorn.

What do I need to bring?

Snacks and beverages will be provided. We will do our best to accommodate food allergies, but please feel welcome to pack your own food as well. Chromebooks will be available, but we have a limited amount, so if you are able to pack your own, please do.

What if I need to cancel? Is the registration refundable?

If for any reason you are unable to attend, please reach out as soon as possible. Cancellations that are communicated within 7 days of the program start date will receive a 100% refund. Cancellations in a shorter window will be determined on a case-by-case basis.

What if the program is cancelled?

Should the program be cancelled (whether due to low registration or scheduling conflicts) you will be offered the option to participate in the other session or receive a 100% refund. Young Entrepreneurs will be confirmed by email two weeks before the start date.
