The 1889 Courthouse venue is a beautifully restored landmark, just minutes from West Bend’s historic downtown and listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Spanning over 2,000 square feet, the Circuit Courtroom accommodates a maximum of 162 guests. The Square Grounds offer a city block of versatile landscape, while inside, you’ll find a sun-filled circuit courtroom, grand iron staircase, and original stained glass windows.
It’s a venue that has only gotten better with time. Patinated hardwood floors ground decorative plaster columns and stenciled ceiling - reaching 22 feet high. Vintage chandeliers softly light a room where worn edges and ornate details envelope guests in the reminiscent feeling of a bygone era.

You can host up to 162 guests in the Circuit Courtroom. A 50% security deposit is needed to book your date. Additional hours can be added.

What is the room’s capacity?
162 max per city code. Our furniture accommodates 120 sitting.
Do you have a linen service?
We do not have linen service. We recommend using Equipment Rentals or another rental company for your linen/furniture needs.
Can I bring my own caterer/DJ/furniture?
Yes. Renters are welcome to use their own vendors (if insured) and equipment. We have a preferred vendor list of trustworthy businesses that know the space well.
Are there accessible restrooms?
Yes, there are ADA appropriate restrooms accessible via elevator on the 3rd floor.
Can I have an outdoor event?
Yes! The Courthouse square grounds are usable for outdoor events. However, the 1889 Courthouse does not have outdoor furniture- so renters who desire outdoor events are responsible for acquiring their own chairs/tables/tents.
Are rates the same every day of the week?
Discounted rates are offered for weekday events Monday-Thursday before 3pm. Sundays are also discounted. Inquire about this year’s rates.
